Thank Governor Newsom for supporting Californians

The recently released state budget includes four big wins for struggling Calfornians. We need to make sure Governor Newsom – who pushed for these to be included – knows we appreciate his support.

The budget priorities that will be game changers for millions of struggling Californians include:

1. Direct cash payments of $250 to $350 to fight rising costs.
2. New $1,000 tax credit for young adults who were in the foster care system.
3. 55,000 families with a stay-at-home parent newly eligible for the Young Child Tax Credit.
4. Tax refunds will no longer be intercepted by the government, so they can actually reach families’ bank accounts.
