Tax Relief is on its Way to Californians!

One of our biggest victories in the 2022-2023 budget is the Middle Class Tax Refund: between $200 and $350 for every Californian, depending on annual income. We worked hard alongside the CalEITC Coalition to make sure struggling families got more cash to pay for basic needs.
Now, that money is starting to arrive! Like the federal stimulus checks, the refunds for dependent children go to their parents or guardians, so families can expect larger checks. We’re also celebrating other big wins including a $1,000 tax credit for young adults who were in the foster care system. In addition, 55,000 families with stay-at-home parents are now eligible for the Young Child Tax Credit.
