A living wage, not just a minimum wage!

A single mother of two children earning the current federal minimum wage has to work the equivalent of 24 hours per day for six straight days to earn enough per week to get by!

In other words, earning $7.25 per hour, she has to work 138 hours PER WEEK to earn a living wage (MIT, 2022). No one should have to work impossible hours to make ends meet.

Change is overdue. Paying workers a fair, living wage is not only what they deserve, but also critical to supporting local economies.
